our work
Our projects involve building new and safer shelters, building schools, building clean drinking water reservoirs as well as developing education curriculum and job training to prepare orphaned youths for employment after they leave the orphanage.

Haitinow.org is also committed to creating a lasting solution to poverty stricken families by helping them become financially stable through Micro-Economics.

What Is
Micro-Economics also known as microfinance, microlending, microloans or microcredit. This gives you a unique opportunity to help provide microloans to borrowers who meet minimal collateral for microloans. Micro-Economics/Microfinance has been in place for over 40 years and has helped millions of families overcome poverty through entrepreneurship made possible through your microloan. Microloans range from $100 to $5,000. The average loan term can last anywhere from 3 months to 36 months at a payback rate of 99%.

Through Microloans, you can help develop local Haitian entrepreneurship by providing peer to peer financial services to poverty stricken men, woman and families and thus helping them fight their way out of poverty which is so common in this nation.

Micro-Economy also gives the lender (You) the opportunity to choose, contact, review and underwrite the microloan to the entrepreneur. The lender can also follow the progress and share the success story.

Nothing is more satisfying then knowing you have helped someone become self sufficient. Micro-Economy is doing great things in the lives of Haitians who would otherwise have no other way of beating poverty.
